Tailgating is not allowed on campus. ACCESS to the BUILDING The building will be closed and secured. Access to the building will be limited to athletes, coaches, and school officials. Sportsmanship Coaches and Participants: Set a good example for spectators to follow. Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials, and accept their decisions graciously. Respect the integrity and personality of the individual athletes and coaches. Display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat. Show respect for opponents before, during, and after contests. Do What’s Right! as you represent your team, school and community. Spectators: During the National Anthem, students, participants and fans should remove any hats, face the flag, not talk, place the right hand on the heart, and remain still until the end of the anthem. During the National anthem, when singing, follow the music and lyrics precisely. Show respect for opposing players, coaches, spectators, and support groups. Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials and accept their decisions graciously. Show respect for members of the coaching staff and team. Display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat. Recognize and show appreciation for outstanding plays by either team. Use only cheers that are positive in support of their team. Encourage coaches, players, and other fans to Do What’s Right! Acceptable Behavior: Applause during introduction of players, coaches and officials. Players shaking hands with opponents while both sets of fans recognize player’s performance with applause. Accept all decisions of game officials. Cheerleaders lead fans in positive support. Handshakes between participants and coaches at the end of contests, regardless of the outcome. Unacceptable Behavior: Disrespectful or derogatory yells, chants, songs or gestures. Booing or heckling an official’s decision. Criticizing officials in any way; displays of temper with an official’s call. Yells that antagonize opponents. Refusing to shake hands or give recognition for good performances. Page 3 Oak Park River & Forest High School Student Expectations The student section will be at the WEST end of the grandstand. Students are expected to dress appropriately and in accordance with the district’s dress code policy. Inappropriate behavior and/or language such as but not limited to profanity, rude comments, unsportsmanlike conduct, gestures, etc. may result in removal from the game which may also include removal from all future OPRF co-curricular activities/events. All District 200Policies and Procedures apply at all co-curricular activities/events including both home and away venues. At the conclusion of the game, students must leave the campus immediately. There is NO RE-ENTRY in the Stadium Grandstand. Oak Park & River Forest High School Traffic and Parking Information Traffic •Traffic will be a concern on campus due to the numerous activities and limited parking space. Please plan accordingly. If you are able to, arrive early, walk, carpool or ride a bike. Parking The Oak Park Village Parking Lot at Lake and Scoville, as well as the Pilgrim Church Lot on Lake Street are available for Friday Night Football parking. Handicap Parking •Limited Handicap Parking will be available. Parking spaces will be marked accordingly. Parking Violations •Any vehicle that is in violation of a fire lane, not displaying a proper handicap parking permit, illegally parked and/0r not following traffic control devices maybe ticketed and/or towed at owner’s expense. Additional Parking Restrictions for Friday Night Football Games in blocks surrounding the high school will be in effect. Please obey all posted parking restrictions.
