MBA CHALLENGE COINS PROGRAM The MBA Challenge Coin Recognition Program is brand new for the 2014-15 season. The goal is to recognize milestones and significant achievements through a bowler’s career with a collectable memento to commemorate their accomplishments. THERE ARE 10 DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF COINS. 1. Game Awards INCLUDES 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, AND 275 GAMES 2. Series Awards INCLUDES 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, AND 700 SERIES 3. Honor Scores INCLUDES 11-IN-A-ROW, 300, 800, AND 900 4. Novelty Awards INCLUDES 30 CLEAN, 7 -10 SPLIT, ALL SPARE GAME, BIG FOUR, DUTCH 200, AND TRIPLICATE 5. City Tournament Title MASTERS TITLIST, HIGH SCRATCH TEAM, SINGLES, DOUBLES, AND ALL EVENTS 6. City Tournament Champion DIVISION WINNERS IN TEAM, SINGLES, DOUBLES, AND ALL EVENTS 7. Senior City Tournament Title SENIOR MASTERS TITLI ST, HIGH SCRATCH TEAM, SINGLES, DOUBLES, AND ALL EVENTS 8. Senior City Tournament Champion DIVISION WINNERS IN TEAM, SINGLES, DOUBLES, AND ALL EVENTS 9. Service Awards LEAGUE OFFICERS, ELECTED MBA OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS 10. Annual Recognitions HALL OF FAME, BOWLER OF THE YEAR, SENIOR BOWLER OF THE YEAR, ALL CITY TEAMS, HIGH SERIES, HIGH AVERAGE, HIGH COMPOS ITE AVERAGE, ASSOCIATION MOST IMPROVED GAME AND SERIES AWARDS Awarded if it is a bowlers first EVER achievement, for example, a bowlers first ever 200 game or a first ever 500 series. If a bowler has reached these plateaus in the past, they would not qualify for this award. First time achievements can be earned at any time during the season. Awarded if the bowlers current season 21 game average is at or below the average indicated on the award application. For example, if a 130 average bowler shoots a 200 game or if a 140 average bowler shoots a 550 series, they would earn the award. All Game and Series Awards are awarded once in a lifetime. Note: All average based Game and Series Awards use current season averages of at least 21 games; no last year’s averages are used. No average data is required for First Time Achievements. MBA CHALLENGE COINS PROGRAM NOVELTY AWARDS All bowlers qualify for novelty awards immediately, whether or not they have had one in the past. Novelty Awards are given once per lifetime. HONOR SCORE AWARDS All bowlers qualify for Honor Score Awards immediately, whether or not they have had one in the past. Bowlers can earn additional Honor Score Awards in different venues: City Tournament, MBA Masters, Senior City Tournament, Senior Masters, WSBA State Tournament, WSBA Senior State Tournament, USBC Nationals Bowlers can earn additional Honor Score Awards on different league lane conditions: Standard league conditions (House Shot), USBC White, USBC Blue, USBC Sport, Challenge All Honor Score Awards are awarded once in a lifetime, per league lane condition and venue. TOURNAMENT AWARDS At least 70 Challenge Coins will be awarded at the annual Dinner with the Champions each October. City Tournament Championships (Division Winners) Division 1: Team (5), Doubles (2), Singles (1), All Events (1) Division 2: Team (5), Doubles (2), Singles (1), All Events (1) Scratch Division: Team (5), Doubles (2), Singles (1), All Events (1) City Tournament Titles (High Scratch Total) Team (5), Doubles (2), Singles (1), All Events (1) MBA Masters Titlist (1) Senior City Tournament Championships (Division Winners) Handicapped: Team (4), Doubles (2), Singles (5), All Events (5) Scratch: Team (4), Doubles (2), Singles (1), All Events (1) Senior City Tournament Titles (High Scratch Total) Scratch: Team (4), Doubles (2), Singles (1), All Events (1) MBA Senior Masters Title (1) All Tournament Awards are awarded annually without limit. MBA CHALLENGE COINS PROGRAM SERVICE AWARDS Any league President, Secretary, or Treasurer who successfully completes the USBC Officer Certification Program on Bowl.com can earn a Service Award Challenge Coin. All current and future Madison USBC Bowling Association Directors who successfully complete the USBC online course and test can earn a Service Award Challenge Coin. The Madison USBC Bowling Association President and Vice President earn a Service Award Challenge Coin via election to office at the MBA annual meeting. All Service Awards are awarded once in a lifetime.
