STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
• Compete with integrity, perseverance and a sense of
fair play.
• Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for
opposing schools.
• Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, officials and
spectators with respect.
• Exercise self-control in accepting officials’ decisions.
• Shake hands with opponents before and after each
contest.
• Serve as positive role models to other students.
Student Conduct - Eligibility
SUSPENSIONS - DEMERITS
Students may not practice or play
while under an in-school or out-ofschool
suspension.
Students suspended for a Friday
may not participate in weekend
school-related activities/sports,
including practice.
A student who completes his/her
suspension on a Friday remains
unable to play or practice until the
next school day.
Student Conduct - Eligibility
DROP OUT POLICY
A student-athlete may not drop from one
team to compete on another team after the
first scrimmage/game, if the original team
conducted tryouts.
Any player who drops out of a
particular sport (by his/her own
choice) after the conclusion of
the 3rd week of practice shall be
INELIGIBLE to compete for any
other team during that particular
season.
A student-athlete dropping from a team
for academic reasons must meet with the
Athletic Director prior to participating in
any future seasons.
EXPECTATIONS FOR PARENTS
Be positive
Do not offer excuses
Encourage them to work hard and do their best.
Encourage athletes to follow the rules.
As a fan, you are entitled to cheer your head off – CHEER!
Demonstrate respect for the authority of the coaches and
officials

(including Band) without impacting the sports they have

• Academics are a top priority for our athletes but so are team

the student feels academic needs may conflict with practices
