EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY PUPILS
Handwriting Pens
Pupils are expected to use the following:
Year 2 – pencils.
Year 3 pupils will graduate from pencils to Berol handwriting pens when they have gained a ‘pen
licence’.
Year 4-6 Berol handwriting pens (pencils for Mathematics)
Year 7 & 8 have a free choice of ink pen (pencils for Mathematics)
Handwriting pens are available to buy from the school office.
Biros are not permitted
Nursery/Reception and Year 1
No equipment required – provided by school
All Pupils from Year 2 upwards
30cm ruler, pencil, sharpener, rubber, coloured pencils.
French / English dictionary
All Pupils from Year 3 upwards
Latin / English dictionary
Mathematics
Years 4 to 8 – In addition to equipment stated earlier - Geometry set (including protractor,
compass). Scientific calculator, Click pencils if possible. Document folder for keeping worksheets and
test papers.
Years 5 to 8 - A5 notepad
Text & Exercise Books
All text and exercise books are provided as necessary. Pupils are also provided with a School Planner
and Reading Record. Replacements for lost items are charged for.
Exercise Book Covers
Year 4 (& pupils joining the school after Year 4)
Pupils are given their first set of exercise book covers free.
Year 5-Year 8
All exercise books must have plastic covers (available to buy from the school office).
Music
All pupils from Year 1 upwards must have a tin whistle for their Music Lessons. These can be
purchased from the school office.
All text books that are provided to pupils must be returned at the end of the school year. If
books are not returned, a charge will be made.
