b. All teams are responsible for providing a scorekeeper for their league games when
listed as the HOME team on the schedule. A scorebook will be available at the Task
Force meetings
c. Scheduling: Season will be split into 2 halves. 1st half will be for “seeding”. 2nd half
the teams will be broken up into an upper division and a lower division based on
record (not applicable to “competitive” leagues). Upper division teams will only play
other upper teams, lower division will only play lower.
LEAGUE CLASSIFICATIONS/RULES
There will be slight differences in the rules to help clarify the differences in leagues.
a) “Rec” leagues will play with a mat for balls and strikes. Ball hits the mat it’s a strike,
it doesn’t it’s a ball. The plate WILL NOT be a strike.
b) All counts will start 1-1. Rec leagues will receive a free foul, competitive leagues will
not.
c) Home Run rules will vary by league. Rec Leagues will be +1 progressive meaning
you can never have more than 1 home run more than your opponent. All home runs
over the +1 will be an out. Competitive Leagues will be 3 then 1+ progressive.
Managers Meeting
The Managers meeting is scheduled at the Bob Keefer Center for Sports and
Recreation:
Thursday, April 20th, 6:00pm
At that time, rules and regulations, team assignments, practice field reservations, and other
pertinent information will be covered. Scorebooks and rule books will also be handed out.
Teams should have a representative present if they wish a free, assigned practice site. Teams
missing the meeting may rent available practice time on a first-come, first-served basis.
Assigned practices begin the week of April 30, weather and field conditions permitting.
Leagues are scheduled to begin the week of June 4.
