Manchester FA – Disciplinary Officer - Role Profile Job Title: Disciplinary Officer Reports To: Football Services Manager (FSM) Quarterly reports to CEO/Chair of Regulations & Sanctions Jobs Reporting into the Job Holder: Discipline Assistant 1. Job Purpose To lead the Disciplinary function at Manchester FA in accordance with FA Regulations and Sanctions. To support the Football Services team by way of completing duties and responsibilities indicative of the traditional area’s of the game including disciplinary, membership, refereeing, safeguarding children, competitions and finance. 2. Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities To co-ordinate and deliver and efficient effective disciplinary system in accordance with FA Regulations and Sanctions. To be responsible for all administering and issuing of all Misconduct and dealing with Discipline queries. To act as Regulatory Advisor on Personal and Non Personal Hearings. To develop and improve discipline processes, including on-line opportunities. To communicate with Clubs and support them with expert guidance of the processes and procedures. To link Discipline holistically with Football Development Programmes, Respect, Volunteer Development, Safeguarding To integrate annual FA Guidance and changes in Regulations and Sanctions To organise and facilitate personal and non personal hearings held at Manchester FA, including the appointment of commission members to panel. To ensure an efficient post commission review process. To co-ordinate the weekly administration support in order to ensure and efficient, timely Discipline process. To co-ordinate and facilitate and manage any FA Appeal requests To ensure the workforce involved in Football have the relevant skills, abilities and confidence to carry out roles in their Clubs and Leagues relevant to Discipline. To manage Discipline Debtors and coordinate an effective financial reporting system. To review all processes and procedures and proactively working with The FA develop on-line systems to assist Clubs/Teams. To educate Grassroots Football with introduction and transition to Match Based Discipline. To provide Monthly, Quarterly Management Information to the Football Services Manager. To provide support to the Football Services Manager when required to do so Any other duties prescribed by the Chief Executive or Football Services Manager DO / MFA – April 2012 1 3. Demonstrate success providing a range of customer support services Knowledge and understanding of Sports equity A clean Full driving license Knowledge and experience of working with Manchester FA Member Clubs and Leagues. Knowledge of League and Club Structures Knowledge of The FA Charter Standard Programme Knowledge of The Respect Programme Negotiating skills. Ability to deal with and manage conflict. A detailed knowledge of the Running the Game Goal area of The FA National Game Strategy.
