CURRICULUM VITEA PROFESSOR DR. SAZALI ABDUL WAHAB 1|Page Prof. Dr. Sazali Abdul Wahab 2012 Brief Biography Professor Dr. Sazali Abdul Wahab was born on 2nd November 1967 in Teluk Intan, Perak. He is the eldest among four siblings. He has his early education in Kuala Lumpur and completed his secondary education at Methodist Boys School (MBS), Kuala Lumpur in 1985. He then pursued his studies in law at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Bangi, Selangor and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) (Hons) in 1991. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar as Advocate and Solicitor in 1992. During his early practice, he had the opportunities to serve as the legal assistant for few law firms. His interest to start his own set up led him to establish a modest law firm specializing in corporate and conveyancing matters in 1995. In 2001, backed by a strong corporate experience and legal knowledge he then served as the technical and development senior manager for a construction company based in Kuala Lumpur. His responsibilities, among others, were managing, overseeing and supervising the implementation and completion of various categories of government awarded contracts such as negotiated tenders, design and built tenders and built-lease and transfer (BLT) contracts. In his line of duty, he involved in negotiations with various government ministries, agencies and departments with respect to contract procurements, open and negotiated tenders, bidding submissions, projects BQs, building specifications and plans. His works also enabled him to be actively involved in negotiations with various banks and financial institutions with respect to project financing, performance guarantees/bonds, syndicated and bridging financing, loan documentations and legal requirements. 2|Page Prof. Dr. Sazali Abdul Wahab 2012 In 2003, Dr. Sazali pursued his studies in Master of Business Administration (MBA), at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Serdang, Selangor as a part-time student and subsequently obtained his MBA Degree (major in International Business) in 2005. While completing his master’s degree he developed keen interest to become an academician. In July 2006, he was accepted as a part-time doctoral student in management under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Raduan Che Rose of Graduate School of Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia (GSM-UPM). He completed his PhD program in 2009.His PhD research developed and advanced a holistic model of interfirm technology transfer between joint ventureorganizations.
