News from the Cellar: You Gott Sauvignon Blanc?

2011 Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc is 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc, produced with fruit from selected vineyards
located in Monterrey, Lake County, Lodi and Russian River of California. These are some of my favorite
regions for Sauvignon Blanc with each one giving different characteristics to produce this wonderful white
wine.
2011 Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc is extremely aromatic with hints of lemon grass, green apple and a touch of
lime, followed by a finish with nuances of honeysuckle and pear that is very crisp and refreshing.
I really like the 2011 Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc as a sipper by itself, but it would pair very nicely with any
light summertime foods such as a big Greek salad. The best three words to describe this wine are light, crisp
and refreshing. I give the 2011 Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc a rating of 89 points and select it as a "Double
Must Buy." This wine retails around $11.99.
