Urgent assistance required for 2017 NSR Kanga Cup

Urgent assistance required for 2017 NSR
Kanga Cup Billeting!
This year we have two male and three female teams from South Korea
attending the NSR Kanga Cup. As in previous years, we are looking for clubs
and families to help with billeting these teams. The International teams enhance
the quality and reputation of the tournament, and we are very excited to have
female teams from South Korea for the first time this year.
We have clubs billeting the two male teams and an U14 female team, so we
are needing families for the U16 and/or U18 female teams.
Capital Football can provide assistance where necessary, with assisting in
finding extra families if required and helping with transport for throughout the
week. There is also some money allocated to help the club with transport.
Ideally, host families from within your club will be able to take two players as
they feel more comfortable rooming with a teammate, however as the girls are
older they will also be fine without a second player.
As a club, you would be required to transport the players to their matches each
(either by meeting the billeting families in a central location each morning or by
having the families drop them at their matches), and you would also need to
transport the players between matches if they have multiple games in one day.
Capital Football can help with sourcing a vehicle for this.
It takes special people to open their homes and hearts to these young Korean
children and give them an environment conducive to care, understanding and
safety, all while they continue to enjoy the football tournament. The children are
treated like any other member of the family with billet families providing a room
and lunch for most days, and the club would be invited to South Korea for
exchange and will be provided with the same family billeting if desired.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Melinda if you have any questions about the
week and what is involved. It really is a wonderful experience and I hope you
are able to help us continue to provide this opportunity for these young Korean
children who contribute immensely to the Kanga Cup experience for Canberra
Footballers.
Any help is much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Capital Football
