Dear Parents, Guzzlers, Leaders and Friends of 3rdCB,
The Chairman and Leader Team of 3rd Chalkwell Bay Sea Scout Group would like to invite you to
our 2017 May Ball on Saturday 20th May on board HQS Wilton, The Essex Yacht Club, raising
funds for the Group as well as an excuse for a good social event.
The evening will commence with a reception at 18.30 in the upper saloon, guests will then sit
down to a delicious 3 course dinner, followed by a fun fundraising auction. Finally, there will be
a raffle, and dancing to our resident DJ, Marcus Dean, to complete the evening. The dress code
is Black Tie / Cocktail dress, with carriages at 1am. This will be a popular evening - our last ball in
2015 sold out very quickly, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets cost £25 per head, and all proceeds will go straight back into 3rd CB to support projects
including the new boating centre, new sailing dinghies and keeping Scouting affordable at The
Den. They are on sale from now until 7 May.
