JAMIA FIELDS ELITE SKILLS SOCCER CAMP IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOS OSOS GIRLS SOCCER Jamia has teamed up with her alma mater Los Osos Girls Soccer to host her 1st annual Elite Skills Soccer Camp in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. WHAT: Jamia teamed up with her alma mater Los Osos Girls Soccer, to host her 1st annual Elite Skills Soccer Camp in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The camp will be held at Los Osos High School Soccer Stadium and Jamia will give the soccer team tips and tricks from a NWSL pro. Players will be challenged to focus on new personal skill development, proper technique, handling pressure, playing with speed and group tactical skills will be focal points. The players will be challenged technically and tactically in a fun environment. Jamia will also discuss the importance of team play, pro soccer tactics, functional play and respect for the game. WHEN: Saturday, December 17, 2016 Media Times- 10:00am – 11:30am WHERE: Los Osos High School Soccer Stadium 6001 Milliken Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91737 WHO: NWSL Orlando Pride Forward Jamia Fields Originating from Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Jamia played soccer for the Los Osos Soccer Team. As a former FSU star, Fields scored the game winning goal that lead the Seminoles to victory in the 2014 NCAA Division 1 women’s soccer tournament. Fields played 103 games for FSU, making her one out of three Seminoles in history to achieve that much game time. At the end of her college career, she was drafted by the Boston Breakers, and then signed with the Western New York Flash. In 2015, as a fifth pick, she signed with The Orlando Pride. Off the Field, The prides new starting player enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and playing tennis. On Thurday Dec 15 at 7pm the City of Rancho Cucamonga will honor Jamia with a certificate of recognition at the Council Chambers in City Hall. ABOUT: LOS OSOS GIRLS SOCCER: The Los Osos Girls Soccer program has been rich with tradition throughout the years. Since inception in 2002, Los Osos Girls Soccer has been successful in the ranks of High School soccer in the Inland Empire and across Southern California. Our philosophy is to continue developing the overall player. Our certified and licensed coaches enable the studentathlete to mature and develop their skills to play at the next level. The Lady Grizzlies have won various league championships throughout the years and most notably in 2012 they won the CIF-SS Division 2 Championship. In that same year, the Los Osos Girls Soccer team made it to the championship game of the State finals. Our program has produced various players that have played in Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 NCAA Women’s Soccer.
