YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide office service activities for Crown Law including document and records management, mail services and messenger services. This includes providing quality client services within this legal environment. Document and records management: Entering information into a computerised records management system to register and monitor location of files. Creation and modification of records files. Preparation of records material for archiving including retrieval from off-site storage as necessary. Mail services Provide accurate and timely collection and distribution of mail including: incoming and internal mail in the document mail exchange areas. control of cash/cheques by post. despatch of outgoing mail and freight Messenger services: Collection and delivery of documents within the Brisbane CBD. Preparing and organising documents for delivery. Organising courier services for internal and external clients. General responsibilities: Provide high quality services to internal and external clients Other duties relating to administrative functions, financial management and asset management as required by the Manager Finance & Business Systems. General administrative duties including photocopying. Be a proactive and participative member of the Records team in performing other duties. Performance of manual handling duties in compliance with WH&S standards, procedures and practices. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The incumbent may be required to work across various teams and branches in Crown Law Applications to remain current for 12 months. A criminal history check will be undertaken for this position on any recommended applicant due to the nature of the work involved. Any applicant recommended for appointment who is a current or previous public sector employee is required to disclose previous serious disciplinary action taken against them. If recommended for appointment the Panel Chair will contact the applicant further to discuss this requirement. All newly-appointed public service employees are obliged to provide their chief executive a disclosure of employment as a lobbyist in the previous two years. All newly appointed public service employees who have been employed as a lobbyist in the previous two years are required to provide a disclosure to the Director-General within one month of commencement in accordance with Disclosure of Previous Employment as a Lobbyist Policy. This position may be subject to a three month probationary period. The incumbent may be required to work hours outside the normal hours. Interstate and Intrastate travel may be required.
