1. FORFEIT TIME IS GAME TIME, except a ten minute grace time for first game only.
2. Tennis shoes should be brought to the gym and put on after arriving. This helps keep the playing
area cleaner for your team by eliminating dust and dirt brought in from outside.
3. CHILDREN ATTENDING THE GAMES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THEIR PARENT.
All children must remain inside the gymnasium and must remain seated on the floor or in the
bleachers. A child who has to go to the restrooms or get a drink must be accompanied by an adult.
Do not bring toys (cars, trucks, trains, skates, skateboards, balls, crayons, etc.) to the gymnasium.
4. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR SMOKING permitted at any facility used by the Belleville
Parks and Recreation Department.
5. NEW: Adopting RALLY POINT SCORING to Parks & Rec. Women’s & Co-Rec Leagues:
Rally Scoring, - points are awarded on each play, regardless which team serves. Length
of games in the Parks & Rec. leagues will stay timed at 20 minutes each, stopping the
clock the last two minutes of the game for all dead balls. Exceptions – time outs during
game and injuries. (Two games per match). Teams must win by 2 points, the game will
continue after timed regulation, until we declare a winner, first team to go ahead by 2
points. (NO CAP)
Mercy Rule: If a team is ahead by 20 or more points after the 18 minutes of play, the clock
will continue to run without stopping for the remaining 2 minutes.
* * * ALL FACILITIES: The ball may be played off the ceiling on your side of
the court, except on the serve.
