Rules and Regulations
Gardeners will keep trash and litter out of their gardening site, as well as from adjacent pathways and fences.
Garden sites are to be cared for at least once a week. It is the gardener’s responsibility to have a fellow gardener
or friend care for their site if they are unable to do so in any given week. If a gardener must abandon their site
for any reason, they will notify the garden leadership. If a site becomes unkempt, the assigned gardener will be
given 1 weeks’ notice to clean it up. At that time, it will be re-assigned or tilled in. Two or more gardeners per
site is permitted and encouraged if you have a busy schedule.
1. Garden plot assignments will be given first to returning gardeners then on a first come first serve basis.
2. Gardeners may harvest vegetables and flowers from their garden ONLY.
3. Community tools, hoses, etc., must be returned to their place of storage after each visit to the garden.
4. At the end of the growing season, gardeners are responsible for clearing their site of all plant material
and leaving the site as they found it.
5. Children are welcomed in the garden but must have adult supervision at all times.
6. This is a carry in, carry out garden. Trash must be removed from the site at the end of each garden visit.
7. On or before December 1 of each year the lot will be cleared of all plant debris, weeds and dead plants.
All organic material may be placed in composting piles or bins maintained on the property.
8. Tall crops will be planted where they will not shade neighboring plots.
9. Organic methods of gardening are the only method of gardening allowed. Synthetic fertilizers, pesticides
and herbicides are strictly forbidden in the garden.
10. Pets that are brought to the garden must be on a leash. Disruptive pets will be barred from the garden.
