Making a difference The sense of momentum behind person centred care is the highest it’s ever been. Over the last year we have taken important steps to help keep it at the top of the agenda, supporting policy makers, providers and commissioners to translate this momentum into improved experiences for staff, care users and their families. Spread the word about the work we’re doing and new insights we’ve gained through We have: Supported over 200 organisations to understand, measure and improve people’s experiences, all over the world. That’s over 1 million experiences of staff, patients, service users and their families that have passed through our doors for analysis, including: 628,446 adults accessing acute services Continued to work towards making sure all experiences are better understood by working to develop 8 new feedback tools, Hosted 38 improvement workshops 54 media opportunities, including the HSJ, the Guardian and BBC Radio 4 looking at different conditions and areas of care supporting professionals to understand and use their data to make improvements 22,351 children and young people 20,865 adults accessing community services 421,077 staff Informed new audiences about the importance of person centred care by speaking at 9 leading industry events Worked with 7 charities and Royal Colleges to gather condition specific feedback Learnt from 153 people who took part in qualitative feedback sessions, sharing their experiences to help shape the development of new tools Helped keep the conversation going by tweeting 981 times to our follower base, which grew by 38% Put the experiences of children and young people in the spotlight by designing and conducting the National NHS Children’s Inpatient and Day Case Survey, the first for 10 years Furthered our impact by forming partnerships with 6 organisations passionate about person centred care
