Kriss Akabusi – Patron of the British Masters Basketball Association

Kriss Akabusi – Patron of the British Masters Basketball Association I regret that I am unable to be with you this weekend as other commitments have me in Malta and in London. Although disappointed that I will be unable to display my basketball skill on the court as I did last year, I am delighted that the Leeds event will celebrate 20 years of Masters tournaments with more than 50 teams involved in more than 100 matches. With some 600 registered participants involved over two days in three venues, Leeds 2015 promises to be another outstanding Masters gathering. Another big ‘miss’ for me will be the Tournament Dinner at the famous Queens Hotel. The evening is set to be a sell-‐out with entertainment being provided by the 8-‐piece band Everybody Dance, a disco and, for the first time, a fabulous light show! A big thank you to everyone off the court who has contributed to the weekend, including Unicorn Sports who have once more put the ‘bounce’ into the GB Masters by providing the Molten match balls. I know it will be a great weekend both on and off the floor and I am really disappointed that I cannot be part of it. I wish all who are involved in the 2015 GB Masters a memorable and successful weekend and I look forward to catching up with old and new friends again in 2016. Kriss Akabusi MBE
