Discussion on possible areas for cooperation (2008):
• Meetings 1... 2 / year, to follow-up the procurement issues in practice.
• Client's issues and client organisation regarding to procurement.
• Follow-up would be interesting within a couple of years: what has
changed? Have the recommendations come into practice?
• Competence - how to ensure the competence on market so that the new
procurement methods can be utilized and that they will work well. Quite a
lot of procurement methods have been done, but the competence of the
personnel have not been developed to the needs in new methods.
Education must be real education, not informal discussion and seminars together with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Systematical benchmarking should be more carefully described. Bench
marking should normally be used on well prepared, and well defined issues instead of a very wide scope.
• Proposal for continuation of the work needs to be done.

• more bids coming in in bidding processes

• future of Public Private Partnership -projects?

• the change occurred quickly
• more Design-Bid-Build instead of Design-Build in high economic activity
• revival package; some new projects, mostly small projects - larger ones take time to
start
• some cooperation done within this area between Nordic countries
