VBH extends CE database
GEALAN integrates PVC systems in CE-fix
As the first PVC system provider, the GEALAN Group has
integrated its PVC window systems in the industry platform CE-fix.
This allows manufacturers to administer the test certifications for
various frame materials from a central location.
VBH, the expert brand for window and door fittings, is further extending
its online database for CE marking with the inclusion of systems from
GEALAN. Previously, the offerings encompassed a wide selection of
window and door systems of wood and metal. With the extension,
manufacturers will also be able to use CE-fix as a central system
platform for plastic window systems in the future. Users will benefit from
the numerous test certifications of the two providers, VBH and GEALAN.
With access to the common pool, the number of tested designs grows
considerably.
A contract partner for all test certifications
Since a corresponding contract between the provider and the user is
prescribed with system provider solutions for CE marking – so-called
cascading solutions, an additional advantage arises: all designs created
with CE-fix simply consist of a contractual relationship. In particular, this
permits manufacturers of different frame materials to maintain an
overview and prevent a flood of contractual diversity.
"Of course, as a system provider, we independently transfer the CE
certification to our customers, but additionally, our systems will also be
managed in CE-fix", explained Helmut Frehse of GEALAN. "Therefore,
our customers can make use of synergies and administer the different
certifications of their various frame materials via a central system
platform".
The offering, www.ce-fix.de, is aimed at the entire window and door
industry. Both manufacturers and suppliers are invited to make use of
the convenient online solution for test certifications and as a marketing
instrument. The relevant components of numerous suppliers are already
represented and further systems are continuously being tested.
CE-fix: simple and convenient
With CE-fix, manufacturers can obtain all necessary documentation for
their individual designs at the press of a button. This includes the initial
type test (ITT) certification in the form of a product pass, component
specifications, operating, warranty and processing instructions,
assembly tips and individual factory production logs. Depending on the
size of the operation, users can select between order-, workplace- or

required certifications can be created easily and conveniently for all
