January Wash Out!
Well, what a month for… postponements! Just the 1 game was played, the long awaited 1st round tie of
the Coulton Cup. Eventually we played Kirkham Juniors and fought hard against a team in the league
above. The Blues played first and showed great teamwork and passing, coming away with a well
deserved 6-2 win. Goals came from Coby (3), Ben (2) and Joe (1) with Benji named as man of the match.
The Whites had a tough time but persevered against some fast forwards from Kirkham. Goals from
Liam and Bradley were not enough to stop a 9-2 defeat. Man of the match was given to Bradley.
As the scores are added together this means the Vipers are out of the Cup, but are entered into the
Plate competition. The Vipers meet Foxhall Hoops in the 1st round.
New Signing
We would like to announce our new signing,
Alfie Russell and welcome him to the squad.
We wish Alfie good luck and hope you enjoy
playing for the Vipers!
Fundraising
Our fundraising has been going well and we do
have a few events in the pipeline. If you do
have any ideas for fundraising please see Julie
Shaw (Ben’s mum).
BJFF Slowcoaches
Tommy, Mark and coaches Bob and Neil, along
with the Preds coaches will be taking part in the
Blackpool Beaverbrooks 10km fun run on Sunday
13th May to raise funds for the teams. Please
sponsor them and help support the team!

Training
We will continue to train at the college on
Tuesdays and Fridays 5.30pm-6.30pm until
further notice. It is important that the children
remain match fit, especially when the bad
weather can interfere with matches.
