Offering a blended approach to development
We believe it offers the best of all worlds - incorporating the benefits of a cross-ice,
small games program while still giving our multi-sport athletes and players the option of
full-ice games and practices, when appropriate. Most of all, it's fun for our players and
provides a foundation for enjoying the great sport of hockey for many years to come.
Here's more: In 2011, the USA Hockey ADM model was introduced as a “one size fits
all” approach to U8 players and younger. The idea was that if you removed the technical
and more challenging aspects of the game, more players could enjoy the sport. While this
is a clever approach to selling more hockey memberships aimed at the recreational skater,
it has created some unfavorable conditions to both the travel mite player forced into this
program and the non-travel recreational player alike.

League Features:
 10 game regular season plus playoff
 3- 12 minute stop time periods
 Weekly Standings
 Full ice rules will be used: Off Sides, Icing, Penalties, Change on fly, Sanctioned
Officials, Timekeeper
 No games will conflict with local half ice league games
 Register as an Individual or Team
 Games will be Saturday or Sunday afternoons
 Will not have games every weekend
 Players that register individually will be watched at a practice or game by a league
staff member prior to determining team placement to assure parity.
 Teams that register must play under a different team name than their full time
program.
 Game jerseys and socks will be provided by league to all weather registering as a
team or individual
 Teams made up of individual sign ups will have no more than 10 skaters and 1
goalie. This roster number is also recommended for Team entries.
 League will start Late September and end in March
