The New Jersey High School Tennis Officials Association ( NJHSTOA ) is
organized to provide tennis officials for NJSIAA (New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association ) schools.
The purpose of the organization is to promote the welfare of high school tennis by training officials who will
uniformly interpret and administer the rules of the game.
Potential officials must be at least 18 years old.
NJHSTOA Training Day and Certification
When: Saturday, September 23
8AM check-in, 8:30 workshop, lunch break (BYO) ,
3PM certification testing

Cost: $135/per person
Fee includes NJSIAA dues, insurance coverage, license to work, NJHSTOA dues,
official shirt, patch, tennis rule book, training materials etc
Once you have completed the training and received certification, your name will appear on an officials
list provided to athletic directors throughout the state. Tennis officials are used for some dual matches
and at most county and invitational tournaments. NJSIAA officials are mandatory for all rounds of the
New Jersey state team tournament and individual singles and doubles tournament.
A registration form is attached. Complete form and mail with check for $135. made out to
NJHSTOA- to Jim Forst, 3420 Bayou Sound, Longboat Key, Florida 34228 .

Workshop will begin promptly at 8:30. Bring lunch and note taking materials.

Directions
Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 7A. After paying toll, take 195West toward Trenton.
Go about ¾ of a mile to the first exit – Rt. 130 North.
Travel approximately 2 to 3 miles total and the NJSIAA building is on your right about a mile after you cross the
light at Rt. 33.
