FORMAT…
SATURDAY: One Best ball of two – 90% Handicap – 9 Scores from
each player must be used. Need not be declared until after
completion of round. Tee times start at 8:30 am off Hole #1
SUNDAY: One Best ball of two – 90% Handicap – 9 Scores from each
player must be used. Need not be declared until after completion
of round. SUNDAY’S PAIRINGS BASED UPON TEAM SCORE. THE GOLF STAFF RESERVES
THE RIGHT to TEE OFF the highest team scores off Hole #10 starting at 9:00 am to
9:30 am. (If necessary) The rest of the field shall tee off hole #1 from 8:30 to
approximately 11:30 am (the lowest team score teeing off last).
FLIGHTS: Each team has been placed into Flights of SIX (6) TEAMS
based upon handicaps. Five out of Six NET Scores will be used
each day. THE FLIGHT WITH THE LOWEST TWO DAY TOTAL SHALL WIN.
RULES…





USGA Rules shall govern all play
Ball must be holed in order to count as a valid score.
ALL NO MOW AREAS WILL BE PLAYED AS THE BALL LIES
All MEMBERS Under age of 60 shall play the WHITE tee markers,
ALL players 60 & OVER may elect to play the SILVER tees. Handicaps will be
adjusted according to the USGA Method. Players shall declare their intentions
prior to the first round and may not switch thereafter.
 The Embedded Ball Rule is in effect through the green (Rule 25-2)
LOCAL RULES
 Unmarked areas around the cart paths will be played as Ground under repair
please use your discretion within your group.
 Protective Screens on #14 tee and Restrooms on Hole #8 and #11 are to be played
as immovable obstructions. You are not allowed line of sight relief. (Rule 24-2)
 All flower beds and mulch areas shall be played AS ground under repair; Players
are entitled free relief from mulched areas around the newly planted trees.
TIES...overall & CASH POOL purse
Ties FOR OVERALL CHAMPION SHALL BE BROKEN BY a SUDDEN-DEATH PLAYOFF BEGINNING AT HOLE #18,
combined low net. OTHER TIES FOR THE AUCTION CASH POOL AND GOLF SHOP MERCHANDISE POOL WILL
BE COMBINED AND DIVIDED EQUALLY AMONG THOSE TEAMS.
Ties…pari-mutuel
TIES IN THE PARI-MUTUAL WAGERING FOR DAY MONEY WILL BE BROKEN BY THE USGA METHOD. TIES FOR
SECOND AND THIRD PLACE OVERALL WILL BE BROKEN BY SUNDAY’S FINAL ROUND SCORE. IF THIS FAILS TO
BREAK THE TIE, THE USGA METHOD WILL BE USED FOR SUNDAY’S ROUND.
SCORECARDS & SCORING (for HDCP purposes)
THE GOLF STAFF will post ALL TOURNAMENT ROUNDS IN THE HDCP COMPUTER. IN ORDER TO POST AN
ACCURATE SCORE FOR YOUR ROUND THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE Is RECOMMENDED. ALL PLAYERS ARE
RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SCORES FOR EACH HOLE. PLAYERS LEAVING THEIR HOLE SCORES BLANK WILL BE
ASSIGNED A SCORE BY THE GOLF STAFF BY TAKING PAR PLUS YOUR HANDICAP FOR THE HOLE. (FOR
HANDICAP PURPOSES) IF A PLAYER Picks UP on ANY GIVEN HOLE, THE CORRECT PROCEDURE WOULD BE TO
MARK AN “x” on THE SCORECARD AND THE SCORE THAT YOU MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE MADE
Suspension of play….
One long siren blast will suspend play. Players must mark the position of their balls and seek
shelter. You are not entitled to complete play of that hole. Should bad weather Cancel play,
the team that is the most under par for the amount of holes played by the entire field shall be
declared the champion.
