Outcomes
• Key outcomes:
• Improved capacity of Subject Leaders to ensure
more effective use of ICT across the primary
curriculum
• Increased awareness of national materials and
initiatives to support embedding ICT across the
curriculum
• Description
• These sessions will provide an opportunity to
receive updates from the PNS team, for
networking, and for sharing of good practice.
ICT Strategic Leader Forums
This session
• This is the first in a series of four forums over
the course of the year and will give delegates the
opportunity to familiarise themselves with the
tools they might use to assess the progress of
embedding ICT across the curriculum in their
school. There will be specific input on the
effective use of Interactive Whiteboards and an
opportunity to determine the particular focus of
the three subsequent sessions for each regional
group.

Naacemark criteria 4
A planned
approach to the use of ICT within,
and across the curriculum
•
Schools will meet this requirement if there is a
clearly planned approach to the use of ICT in
other subject areas, as described within the
statutory requirements of the national
curriculum. The use of ICT will not be ‘ad hoc’;
there will be a well defined and understood
strategy. This may be represented by the
following approaches, but a school does not need
to meet all the possible approaches

Naacemark Criteria 4
• Schools should consider how they maintain
such an evidence base. Schools may wish
to consider if this is to be the task of the
ICT co-ordinator, co-ordination teams or
subject co-ordinators.
