VARSITY GAMES SEASON OVERVIEW PRE-SEASON – 4 Weeks Coach Recruitment • Obtain recruitment materials from Team Prime Time (TPT) Regional Commissioner or from dedicated page on TPT website • Recruit Coaches through on-campus After School Program (ASP), Athletic Dept., Community Service Coordinator or Counseling Office Athlete Recruitment • Obtain recruitment materials from TPT Regional Commissioner or website • Recruit Athletes through Adapted PE Classes, Special Education Dept and Transition Programs Varsity Games Training • Coaches required to receive 5 hours of Varsity Games training • Training schedule can adapt to unique needs of school o Online, after school or during the regular school day o Trainings are recorded so that students can watch at different times Research • Distribute and collect informed consent releases • Administer Pre-‐Season Coach and Athlete Surveys Secure Venue • Secure field or gym for practices • Practices can take place during the regular school day if necessary Referees • Identify and retain referees • Oversee training PRACTICE SEASON – 4-5 Weeks Enrollment Forms • Ensure all appropriate enrollment forms are submitted by each participant • Produce copies of all forms to stay with Head Coach • Submit original forms to appropriate agency – TPT and/or ASP as determined by host school Practices – minimum of 4 practices • Assessment of Athletes (in support of IEP, if applicable) • Cluster “Peer Pairs” based on Skills Assessment (if applicable) • Practice plans can be found on dedicated page Secure Venue • Secure field or gym for all home games This document contains information that is confidential and proprietary to Team Prime Time, Inc.
