Kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school year in the Garnet Valley School District will be held from
January 17-27, 2017. Pre-registration packets can be printed from the following link (Kindergarten Registration
Packet) or picked up at the Concord Elementary School main office from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on days when
school is in session.
All district students attend Concord Elementary School for kindergarten classes. Students who reside in the
Bethel Springs Elementary attendance area begin attending Bethel Springs in first grade.
The pre-registration packets may be brought to Concord Elementary between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM according
to the first letter of the family last name. The schedule is:

There will be a Kindergarten Readiness Meeting on Thursday, March 23, 2017, in the Concord Gym at
7:00PM. Parents and guardians are invited to come hear about readiness, expectations, and the kindergarten
program.
ELECTRONIC PROCESS FOR FORMAL REGISTRATION
Parents/guardians will be given a code and detailed instructions for logging on to the school website at the time
of registration. The code will be required in order to complete the on-line registration. On-line registration is
scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. If parents or legal guardians do not have
access to a computer, the computer lab at Concord Elementary School will be open that evening from 6:45 PM
until 7:15 PM. NOTE---Multiple entries on the same code will invalidate your registration.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT:
RTSD Kindergarten Registration Information
Radnor Township parents are invited to join the Radnor Township School District family by registering their
kindergarten and new students in Ithan, Radnor and Wayne Elementary Schools.
Tours of each school building will be available from January through April. Those interested in a tour can call

Please read the below information carefully to ensure all registration requirements are met. Only
completed registrations that include the most recent immunizations and physical exam, dental exam, residency
proofs, birth certificate or passport, and social security number will be processed.
The registration requirements are:



Kindergarten students must be 5-years-old on or before September 30 of the student's first school year.
Parents must present the original copy of the registering child’s birth certificate or passport at
registration, which will be photocopied and returned.
Three proofs of residency must be supplied, consisting of:
o One of the following:
 Original lease or deed signed by both seller/landlord and/or buyer/renter;
 Mortgage payment booklet;
 Agreement of sale and original copy of settlement papers within 45 calendar days of the
settlement.
o Two of the following:
 Valid driver’s license or change of address card with registrant’s current address;
 Valid vehicle owner’s card with registrant’s current address;
 Utility bill within 30 days in registrant’s name with registrant’s current address;
 Paycheck stub within 30 days with registrant’s address;
 Most recent tax bill;
 Most recent sewer bill.
These documents will be photocopied and returned.
Pennsylvania School Law requires a medical examination by a physician for all students entering kindergarten,
6th-grade, and 11th- grade, as well as all new students to Pennsylvania schools regardless of grade level.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health requires all children to have a dental examination upon entry into
school (kindergarten or 1st-grade), as well as in 3rd- and 7th-grade.
Both medical and dental examinations must be completed within one year prior to the beginning of the school
year.
Pennsylvania State Law also mandates that all children entering school be immunized. Parents must bring
proof the following records of the following immunizations with them at registration. Children must have the
following:








Four doses of Diphtheria and Tetanus Vaccine (DTaP, Td, or DT). The fourth dose must be
administered on or after the fourth birthday;
One dose of Diphtheria, Tetanus, Acellular Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap) at 7th-grade;
One dose of Meningococcal (MCV) at 7th-grade;
Three doses of Polio Vaccine;
Two doses of Measles containing vaccine. The first dose must be given on or after the first birthday.
Two doses of Mumps, one dose of Rubella Vaccine. These are usually given as MMR;
Two doses of Varicella Vaccine or physician verification of having had Varicella disease (chickenpox).
The first dose must be given on or after the first birthday;
Three doses of Hepatitis B Vaccine (HBV);
One test for Tuberculosis completed within the last six months of admission to school, or a physician
notation on the physical form that the child is “low risk” for tuberculosis.
The law permits medical, moral or religious exemptions if the appropriate forms are completed and kept on
record at the child’s school. These forms may be obtained by contacting the child’s school nurse. Students with
medical, moral or religious exemptions may be excluded from school in the event of an outbreak of vaccinepreventable diseases.

A child shall be considered a resident of the school district in which his parents or the guardian of his person
resides, and will be enrolled in the school building he/she would normally attend in accordance with

be provided at each of the buildings on registration day or they can be picked up at the Registration

If the student is in any Special Education/Gifted classes and has an IEP/GIEP or received support
through a 504 plan, please bring in a copy of the IEP (including Evaluation Report/Re-Evaluation
Report), GIEP or 504 Plan with you.

If parents are not living together, a document establishing custody must be provided. If there is no court
ordered custody agreement, a notarized letter stating the custody arrangements (i.e. “with Mom
Monday – Thursday and with Dad Friday – Sunday”) and signed by both parents is acceptable. Child
must be living in RTM School District a minimum of 50% of the full week throughout the calendar year.
IMPORTANT FACTS TO REMEMBER:

Rose Tree Media does not offer full day kindergarten. Registration is for half day only.

Morning sessions (AM Kindergarten) are often preferred by parents. Student placement in the morning
session will be determined by a lottery held at each school. To be considered for the AM lottery,
students must be registered by March 31, 2017. The lottery will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 and
placement letters will be mailed by Friday, April 7, 2017. Anyone registering after March 31st will be
placed in afternoon kindergarten. You can request to be put on a waiting list for the morning session
and you will be notified if openings occur.

Please be advised that placements are subject to change depending on final enrollments.

Children are not required to be present at kindergarten registration.

Parents/guardians who live with relatives or friends must complete a Multiple Occupancy Affidavit.

Springfield Literacy Center (SLC) registration for all Kindergarten students for the 2017-2018 school year will

Welcome to Full-Day Kindergarten in the West Chester Area School District!
We are very pleased that you have chosen to enroll your child in our full-day kindergarten program. From the
moment children enter their new schools, we personalize their educational experience and work very hard to
help them achieve their personal best.
The links to the left provide important information about the registration process, a timeline to assist you with
planning, and answers to frequently asked questions. If you are ready to begin the registration process,

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, January 25 at 6:30 p.m. for Kindergarten 101, a parent meeting at
Starkweather Elementary School where you will learn all you need to know about kindergarten in the
WCASD.

2017 Kindergarten Registration Process:

Please complete the online pre-registration by visiting: registration.wcasd.net. Before you get started, please
note that the pre-registration process will take approximately 30 minutes. In addition, be sure to have the
following information close by:

General address information, including township of residency
Previous school/preschool information (if applicable)
Emergency contacts (up to 5, other than you as the parent or guardian)
Information on any court-ordered restrictions
Medical information (health insurance, allergy information, physician and dentist contact
information, etc.)
Once you have completed pre-registration, please call your child's future elementary school to schedule an
