COMPETITION OVERVIEW
The Aveda Global Fashionista Photographic Competition invites
Aveda Artists to create a total look (cut, color, style and makeup)
with Aveda products that showcases their artistry, personal
interpretation of seasonal trends and love for Aveda—all while
celebrating the Aveda brand, products and mission. Winners at all
levels receive incredible opportunities to advance their craft and
career at Aveda shows and events.
PRIZES
All prizes include airfare, hotel accommodations and event tickets
where applicable.
Country Winners: One winner will be chosen from each eligible
country and receive a trip to Aveda Master Jam Europe in Milan, Italy
on October 10–11, 2016.
Regional Winners: From the country winners, three regional winners
representing North America, Europe and Middle East/Asia-Pacific
will be announced at Aveda Master Jam Europe and receive the
opportunity to work backstage with the Aveda Global Artistic Team
at Autumn/Winter 2017 New York Fashion Week.
Global Winner: The global winner will also be announced at
Aveda Master Jam Europe and receive the opportunity to present
at Aveda Congress 2017.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
STEP 1: SUBMISSIONS
All entries must be emailed to the address on the entry form by
June 15, 2016. Entries received after this date will not be accepted.
STEP 2: JUDGING & COUNTRY WINNERS SELECTED
An expert panel of judges in each country will review submissions
July 1–August 1, 2016, and one winner from each country will be
selected and notified by phone on or before August 6, 2016. All
country winners will be invited to attend Aveda Master Jam Europe
in Milan, Italy on October 10–11, 2016.
STEP 3: REGIONAL WINNERS &
GLOBAL FASHIONISTA ANNOUNCED
Three regional winners and one global winner will be announced
on stage at Aveda Master Jam Europe.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
• The competition is open to all Aveda
Lifestyle, Concept, Exclusive and
Family salon employees. Aveda
Institute students are not eligible
to participate but are encouraged
to participate in the Edwin Neill II
Full Potential Award competition.
• Salons must be open and trading by
the start of the competition process
to be eligible.
• Salons can submit multiple individual
entries. Only the individual who enters
is eligible to win.
• Only one photograph per entry will
be accepted.
• The look should encompass the cut,
color, style and makeup trends for
Autumn/Winter 2016 and demonstrate
seasonal hair and makeup predictions.
• The look should represent the image,
quality and spirit of the Aveda brand.
• The look must be created using only
Aveda products (where applicable).
• No wigs or hairpieces will be accepted.
• All entries must follow the Aveda
brand and mission standards.
Looks with fur, faux fur, feathers
or glitter will not be accepted.
• All photographs must be a
head-and-shoulders shot of
a model, high-resolution and
20 cm x 25 cm (8" x 10").
• A minimum of five entries per
country is required for a country
to be eligible for entry.
• The competition is open to the following
countries: Australia, Benelux (Belgium,
Netherlands and Luxembourg), Canada,
Denmark, France, GSA (Germany, Austria
and Switzerland), Hong Kong, Iceland,
Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Norway,
Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden,
Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK (UK and
Ireland) and USA.
• Entries received after June 15, 2016,
will not be accepted.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
• Create and photograph your look.
• Email the photograph of your look, completed entry form and completed
model release to the email address on the entry form. Incomplete entries
will be disqualified. Due to the high-resolution format, you may need to use
a file transfer service to submit your photograph.
• Submit your entry by June 15, 2016.

We, the undersigned entrant, photographer, makeup artist and / or model, hereby grant Aveda Corporation its affiliated
companies, successors, assigns, principals, representatives and those acting pursuant to its permission or upon its authority
(collectively, “Aveda”) our respective rights, titles and interests in the enclosed submissions, including all applicable copyright
rights. We further hereby grant Aveda permission to reproduce any of our submitted images in any way Aveda deems
reasonable. We understand that all images submitted become the property of Aveda without payment of any compensation
therefore and without restriction as to date, location or manner of its use. We grant Aveda the right to use, edit, and modify
any submitted images as Aveda determines in its sole discretion is appropriate, in support of Aveda including advertising,
promotion, or publicity. We release and discharge Aveda and those acting pursuant to their permission or upon their authority
from any liability resulting from the production, reproduction or use hereunder of the submitted images, including any liability
for any distortion, optical illusion, alteration or other circumstance that may occur or be produced in connection therewith. We
further release Aveda from any claims for remuneration associated with any form of damage, foreseen or unforeseen,
associated with the commercial or artistic use of these images
By entering this competition, we waive the rights to make any claims against the judges of the competition. We understand
that the decision of the judges is final. We further agree to abide by all contest rules issued now or hereafter.
We hereby affirm that we each are at least 1821 years of age and have the right to contract in our own name. We acknowledge
that we have the right and power to grant Aveda all rights granted herein. This is the whole agreement regarding these images,
and supersedes any previous statements, agreements, or discussion. This agreement shall be binding upon me and my heirs,
legal representatives and assignees.
