Children have a weekly lesson with a specialist tutor and have access to a violin to take home to practice. It is expected that children will take a Grade Exam by the end of KS2. Children who are ‘talented’ continue with lessons in Years 5 and 6. Brass Year 6 children have a weekly lesson. An after school session is available for anyone who would like to play a brass instrument, for pleasure and not necessarily work towards an exam.
