Biography
Alma Hartshorn completed degrees in English, French and Social Work. She
was a member of the Australian Student Christian Movement before World
War II. During the war, she had a career of distinction in the armed services.
Her life as an academic and professional in medical Social Work has been
acknowledged with the awarding of a Member of the Order of Australia and a
Fullbright Scholarship.
