Weld County Youth Conservation Corps – 18+
Positions and Descriptions: Looking for 10 hard working young adults (18-24 yrs old) to join our AmeriCorps
Chainsaw Operator/Service Crew program. You will have the opportunity to serve the communities and
citizens of Weld County while also having the opportunity to earn money for college and earn a living stipend.
We offer a variety of trainings/certifications and labor based work experiences. We operate on a team-based
crew model, willingness to work with others and having positive attitude are a must! As our projects are
primarily outdoors, participants must be willing to work in Weld County's extreme heat, high winds, and
sporadic rainstorms. Come and join us! Crew works April 1st -- September 26, 2014, 900 service hours,
Monday -- Friday, 8:00am -- 4:30pm, $950.00 monthly living stipend + $2,775 education award (scholarship)
upon graduation from AmeriCorps (successful completion of 900 approved service hours.) Check out

Position: Teen Night Recreation Assistant
Job Location: Windsor
Description: *Help with recreational activities such as Teen Nights and other Special Events as part of
program support staff. Assist Recreation Leader/Supervisor in the maintenance for records and completion of
reports as directed, for example: daily rosters for programs, checking in participants. Assist in preparing sport
equipment bags/supplies for each season. Assist with inventory on equipment and/or supplies for various
programs. Assist in leading games, activities, class and special events. Coordination of participants. Provide
direction and assistance to participants. Keep Recreation Leader/Supervisor informed of materials and
supplies necessary to conduct programs. Assist with equipment/event set up and take down, as well as
general open/close duties for programs and facility areas. This position works under the direct supervision of a
Recreation Supervisor and/or Recreation Leader. Recreation Assistant chaperones teens that attend the
program at the CRC.
Qualifications: Must be able and willing to work Friday nights from 5:00pm-10:00pm. This is a seasonal
position for the remainder of the 2013-14 school year. Must demonstrate ability to interact with the public, both
in a group and/or individual setting. CPR and First Aid certification required. Minimum age is 14 years old.
