DATE: November 15, 2013 To: EDI Domestic Trading Partners From: HBC EDI Department Re: 820 Changes Dear Valued Trading Partners, The EDI 820 Remittance will now display gross item cost, plus/minus all applicable adjustments for discounts, returns, corrections, etc. During this transition period you may have received multiple 820 transmissions from recent payments. This correspondence is to inform you of additional changes that will affect your EDI 820 documents. Please make note and file these changes away for later review. All taxes will be reported in the ADX segment. The RMR04 and RMR05 are both inclusive of taxes. Going forward the below adjustments will allow for more accurate transaction data: o The REF Segment will include a Debit (DB) or a Credit (CM) , along with the description o The 820 document will balance to both your check and check stub. There may be slight variances due to rounding. Consignment vendors will continue to get details by Store or Province, depending on their agreement with HBC If you have any further questions regarding EDI requirements, please feel free to contact our EDI department via email at [email protected]. Should you have any questions regarding payment of your EDI810 Invoice, please contact our Accounts Payable Helpdesk at (800) 521-2366 or [email protected] Thank you for your cooperation in this important and exciting initiative.
