JPII Girls Soccer Team Win "B" Division of the Lakeshore Shootout
On Friday night the JPII girls soccer team tied Ft
Payne 0 - 0, and beat Bayside 6 - 0.
On Saturday they beat Arab 3 - 0, Indian Springs 2 - 0
in the semifinals and in the finals beat Randolph 0 - 0
and 4 -3 on PKs. Scoring PKs were Nancy Brasseale,
Laura Miller, Katie Sullivan and Suzanne Baltar.
Margaret Pittmann was in goal and stopped two
Randolph PKs.
Leading scorers for JPII for the tournament were
Nancy Brasseale with 4 goals, Laura Miller with 2
and Suzanne Baltar with 2.
Nancy Brasseale,Laura Miller and Molly Nierlich made the All-Tournament Team.
Teaghan Sprinkle was Tournament Defensive MVP.
Margaret Pittman was Overall Tournament MVP.
