Voter Education, Registration, and Action (VERA)
Campaign 2016
The V E R A campaign of 2016 is a non-partisan effort designed to educate adult
learners about voting and current election issues, and mobilize them to vote in
the 2016 elections.
V E R A is sponsored by the New England
Literacy
Resource Center (NELRC).
The New England Literacy Resource Center works to strengthen adult literacy
services in New England through sharing and collaborative projects among adult
literacy professional development providers, practitioners and policy-makers in
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The Change Agent
Adult Education Magazine
The mission of the Change Agent is to provide a low-cost teaching resource that
features writings by adult learners and inspires adult educators and learners to
make civic participation and social justice part of their teaching and learning.
2016 VERA Process
Join with others by signing up for the VERA campaign at
www.nelrc.org/VERA. Identify a contact person who will report back your
program’s data.
Use the VERA resources available to you and watch for the New England online
voter guide coming this summer. See VERA Activities Schedule.
Teach adults about voting and other ways to participate civically.
Participate in the regional mock election and add your numbers to the regional
total to let representatives know that we vote!
Report your program data after the election.
