More news as it comes to hand. LADIES’ NEWS CLUB NEWS On Wednesday 29 March, an extraordinary meeting of members was held at the Club. At that meeting, a number of important matters was discussed, including the financial status of the Club and the effects of the president’s resignation and the likely departure of another Board member. The meeting called for selfnominations to the Board to ensure the Club’s viability to operate. It is pleasing to report that, as a result, several members did indeed nominate. At a subsequent extraordinary Board Meeting, the following members of the Board were decided and positions determined: March has been a busy month with Pennants in full swing. Brindabella Shield have been successful winning their first 3 games with their only loss against Gungahlin Lakes, with only one round left before semi-finals on the 23rd April. The girls are hoping for a finals birth. CSGA Plate and Bronze Shield both commenced on the 3rd March with only 1 win each. It is not looking good for the finals. The annual Goulburn v Bowral match was played on the 21st March with Bowral coming out the victors 61/2 games to 51/2. Looking forward to the return match in October. The 1st round of the Hoddle Cup was played on Saturday the 1st April with Chris Hobbs in the lead in Div 1 and Marilyn Manfred for Div 2. Good luck for 2nd round to be played on the 8th April .
