8th April 2006, Szolnok, Hungary
The Hungarian Open Kyokushin Karate Championship will take place
in Szolnok, Hungary at the Tiszaligeti Sport Hall
Weight categories and number of participants for each country as follows:
Kumite, men (born in 1987 and older) - the number of the competitors is unlimited
Men Lightweight
-70 kg
Men Middleweight
-80 kg
Men Heavyweight
-90 kg
Men Super Heavyweight
+90 kg
Kumite, ladies (born in 1987 and older) - the number of the competitors is unlimited
Ladies Lightweight
-55 kg
Ladies Middleweight
-65 kg
Ladies Heavyweight
+65 kg

Kata, men
(born in 1987 and older) - the number of the competitors is unlimited
Kata, ladies
(born in 1987 and older) - the number of the competitors is unlimited
The rules will be the international Knock Down standard and Kyokushin Kata competition of
EKO.
The following protection will be compulsory:
Kumite Men: Groin guard (no shin protectors)
Kumite Ladies: Breast protection (the cup type), white shin/instep protection and groin guard.
The fight will take 3 minutes, and each extension will be 2 minutes.
The tameshiwari consists of three techniques (seiken, shuto and hiji) and all the techniques are
to take place before semi-finals (men only). Minimum board 2.
Please note that a selected number of fighters will have to take a dopping test.
PRIZES
The best, the second and third best competitors win a cup a medal and a certificate.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR FIGHTERS
All competitors are requested to present a written a medical certificate (in English or
Hungarian language) indication that he or she is physically fit and healthy.
This certificate must not be older then 6 months.
All women are requested to present written a certificate of non pregnant state (in English or
Hungarian language.)
