QV Rating (QVR) provides valuations for rating purposes for local authorities. This involves
regular revaluations of property using mass appraisal through to full inspection techniques,
updating the district valuation roll on a daily basis, managing objections from ratepayers and
managing the information technology needs of local authorities.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The role of Mobile Data Collector is to inspect sites and prepare site and floor plans, as well as
research sales and other market information, and with experience be able to provide residential
valuations.
No knowledge or experience in the valuation industry is required as full training will be
provided.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The Mobile Data Collector reports to the Operations Manager - Southern
The Mobile Data Collector will be required to build and maintain working relationships with:
 Operations Manager
 Valuers and Senior Valuers
 Support Staff

Carry out site inspection of new
improvements.
Achieve target volumes and time-frames.
Produce accurate valuations.
Obtain comparables for new improvements
and assess added value.
Update field records and permanent data as
required.
Records are accurately updated.

OVG standards.
Objections
Carry out on site inspection of objections
Achieve target volumes and time-frames.
Obtain comparables and where applicable
assess new values
Produce accurate valuations.
Records are accurately updated.
Update field records and permanent data as
required.

Subdivisions
Carry out site inspection of Subdivisions as
required.

Revaluations
Analyse sales

SPECIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS
A current clean driver’s licence is essential and you will need to have your own car.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Skills and Knowledge






Good customer service skills
Computer literacy, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is
required
Knowledge of building materials would be an advantage
Ability to measure up and draw a reasonable diagram/plan to scale
Attention to detail
Well developed time-management skills
Experience

Previous experience within the valuation or property industry is not required.
