Women's Flexi League 11 - a - Side Football (2016-17) Rules and Regulations http://sheffieldhallam.sportpad.net Competition Guidelines 1. Fixtures i. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. vii. viii. 2. The named team organiser will be responsible for ensuring that his team fulfils all the fixtures at the correct times and for advising his players of their match times/dates as per the website. If for any reason, a team cannot fulfil a fixture, Tobias Taylor should be informed at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to turn up for a match at the stated time, without sufficient notice, will result in a team receiving an automatic 5-0 defeat, deduction of 1 point and liability for the match fee of £20. If a team fails to turn up 2 weeks in succession, or three times in the season, they will be considered for withdrawal from the league. If for any reason the assigned referee for the fixture does not turn up, the fixture must still go ahead and teams must officiate themselves. Non-attendance of the referee is not a valid reason for cancelation of the game. Match fees pay for facility hire and staff time, while referees are an added bonus. If a game does not take place due to a referee not attending, both teams will be deducted 1 point and the game will be void. All matches will take place at Sheffield Hallam Sports Park on Bawtry Road. Please leave ample time in which to arrive prior to your match. There is a regular public bus transport (numbers 70, 72/72A First). All of these buses are £1 each way with your student card. Please check which pitch your fixture is taking place on before you go to the ground. Most games will take place on the Synthetic 1A. Players must ensure that they wear appropriate footwear for the surface - moulded boots are allowed on the 4G. Squad i. ii. iii. Teams can name a squad of up to unlimited players, all of whom can play during a match. Only a max of 11 players may play at any one time, of which 1 must be a goalkeeper. Rolling substitutions are allowed throughout the game through the usual notification of the referee. Substitutions may only take place when the ball is out of play. Players must enter and leave the field of play from the side line near the halfway line. Amended January 2017 iv. 3. N.B. Players do not need to be Sheffield Hallam Active members. All questions of eligibility of players or interpretation of the rules should be referred to the opposing team captain, or in the final instance, to the Football development Coordinator at Sheffield Hallam Active, whose decision shall be final. Match Time i. ii. iii. iv. v. 4. Each match will be 35 minutes each way with a five minute half time during which teams must change ends. Captains should toss a coin to decide ends and kick off. All matches must start at the stated time. Entry fee is £30, and must be paid before playing any game in the league. Team organisers must check in and pay their £20 match fee at the Sports Park Pavilion in order to receive a match receipt. You will need to present this receipt to the assigned match referee before playing your match. Please ensure you allow time before your match to do this. Equipment i. ii. iii. iv. 5. All players within a team must wear shirts of identical or similar colours. Bibs will be provided should there be any clash of colour. Players must ensure that they wear appropriate footwear for the surface - moulded boots are allowed on the 4G. All players must also ensure that shin pads are worn and that any jewellery/watches are removed. Footballs are available at the venue, the "home" team are responsible for collecting the ball prior to, and returning is after the match. All fixtures, results and other notices will be communicated via the Sheffield Hallam Intramural website (http://sheffieldhallam.sportpad.net/) The main competition will comprise of one league of 4-8 teams. Minimum age to play is 16. All teams in the league will play each other at least once. The scoring system will be as follows: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 point for a loss, 1 point loss for failure to turn up (without sufficient notice). Referees Games will not start until a valid receipt of payment is handed to the referee. During the game, the referee’s decision on all matters is final. Teams are responsible for playing in an acceptable manner, for interpreting and accepting the rules of play fairly, and for respecting the referee. All referees are fellow SHU students and should not be subject to any abuse or indiscipline from players. It is the responsibility of the Team Captain to ensure all of their players treat the referee, and opposing players, with respect. Indiscipline will result in suspensions and teams being removed from the competition. All Intramural football leagues are affiliated to the Sheffield and Hallamshire Football Association. Therefore, all disciplinary matters will be reported and subsequent fines or bans may be issued and enforced. All leagues adhere to the FA Respect campaign Any serious transgressions will be taken forward to an Intramural disciplinary committee hearing.
