YTAC POWDERPUFF 2014 New Member Packet Dear New Player, Coach or Cheerleader, We’re excited to have you participate in the second annual YTAC Powderpuff football game to be held May 3, 2014 at the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas. Young Texans Against Cancer (YTAC) was established in 2001 and to raise funds for local cancer research and support organizations in Texas by using its member base to increase awareness of volunteer organizations and help to educate our community on cancer research. The YTAC Powderpuff game was launched in 2013 as an annual fundraiser for YTAC Austin. Last year, we raised almost $20,000 to help support this great cause. In this year’s game, young women will take the field in an exciting competition between two teams—the Cherry Bombs and the Blue Belles—comprised of some of Austin’s best and brightest. Men can participate as coaches, and men and women can participate as cheerleaders. Playing, cheering or coaching in the game is a fun, dynamic and rewarding experience where you’ll make new friends, build camaraderie with your teammates and contribute to a worthy cause that affects millions of people around the world every day. The game is designed to bring the passion and spirit of young community leaders together to support Young Texans Against Cancer. In this packet, you’ll find useful information about fundraising, practice schedules, sponsorships, game day and more.
