The lesson “Who am I” analysis • We had been talking a lot about who I am, what my name is before we took pictures. We wanted to introduce ourselves to our guests, but it turned out that there was no film in the camera. • What shall we do? How to introduce ourselves? There were different options: to go to the photo studio, bring the photos from home, to draw your own portrait. The lesson “Who am I” analysis • But we decided to travel into the Magic country of creation and to think at home how we can introduce our names. • There were not prepared recipes, that is why all the works turned out to be different. A variety of materials such as paints, pencils, chalks, paper, cloths, natural materials were used as well as various techniques such as application, paper art and others. The lesson “Who am I” analysis • The pupils showed how it can be interesting to create your own image and your inside world. • For example, – Ilija likes to play the piano, and he expresses his name in this way; – Aliosha’s hobby is playing chess, – Sofja is always very attentive and alert at the lessons- so her name is with big eyes so that she will not miss anything at the lessons. – Vladislav is usually cheerful and the letters in his name are smiling. – Denis likes being outdoors, but, unfortunately, he has little time to spend outside, so he drew his name with the leaves. The lesson “Who am I” analysis • A child reveals himself and his personal qualities, initiative, in cooperative activities, which develops children’s motivation. • The children were inspired by what they were doing, they felt that they were creating something big and important. They showed proudly their works being happy by what they have done. • Such activities develop cooperation, imagination, creative skills. The parents were also involved in the process and helped their children to create the works.
