Creation of an educational platform for cultural heritage
having modules for adaptation, manipulation, aggregation,
and distribution of digital cultural heritage in a learning
context
• Outcome:
• Tools to adapt digital cultural objects to learning objects
• Tools to publish them to multiple platforms
• Insights in related juridical issues
• Having eLearning enabled cultural heritage content

• Rationale:
Creation of a mobile and adaptive --both on content &
learning path-- platform for language learning using
authentic media
• Outcome:
• Reasoning system which enables the adaptive selection of
learning objects, the detection of device type the learning
objects are consulted on and the consequent delivery and
adaptation of both media content & language acts
• Insight to exploit different authentic media types to
create interesting learning paths
• Insight in user expectations and experiences

Introduction of serious gaming in language education. The
combination of a rich 3D-environment, a high flexibility and
a high level of adaptation should lead to a better learning
experience.
• Outcome:
• Development of new techniques for loading,
compressing, and producing detailed interactive worlds
• Insight to exploit educational immersive gaming
technology to create a self-motivating, realistic
educational environment
• Insight in user expectations and experiences
