DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE (TECHNIQUE / SKILL)
A functional practice designed to improve players passing, decision making and movement
ORGANISATION





Area: 25 x 15 metres, 5 x 5 metres inner area
3 Teams – 3 Yellow Players and 3 Blue Players v 3 White Players with target Red Player in
the center of the area
The Yellow and Blue players must maintain possession while looking to play the ball into the
Red target player when available, Red player then maintains possession b y transferring
outside the area again
White Players cannot tackle Yellow and Blue players and cannot enter the inside area
If white players win the ball they must dribble over an outside line (Transition to Attack)

First touch/Body shape/Back Foot
Angles and Distance of support
Width and depth
Awareness of space and defender
Penetrating pass – be patient wait for the opportunity
NOTES
2 minutes games, 30 seconds rest, rotate defenders. Players in possession score by making 10 passes or
playing through middle target player
