Session I Water Testing: April 3 -7 & April 17– 21 5:00pm & 7:00 pm Session II Water Testing: May 15-18 5:00pm & 7:00 pm PRE-SCHOOL Level V: Stroke Refinement (Deep Water) Front and back crawl for 50 yards Breast stroke and sidestroke for 10 yards Elementary backstroke for 25 yards Level VI: Skill Proficiency (Deep Water) Front & back crawl 100 yards Breast stroke & sidestroke 25 yards Swim the butterfly for 10 yards Flip turn Pre-School (3–5yrs) Advanced Skills/Swim Team (Deep Water) Level 1: Water Exploration (Shallow Water) Fully submerge face in water Front and back float with support Kicking on front and back with support Enter and exit the water independently Float on front and back unsupported for 5 seconds Swim on front 5 yards without assistance Swim on back 5 yards without assistance Retrieve objects under water chest deep Level III: Stroke Readiness (Shallow & Deep) Swim the front crawl for 10 yards Swim the back crawl for 10 yards Jump into deep water Bobs in water over the head Level IV: Stroke Development (Deep Water) Deep water bobs Standing dive from side of pool Elementary backstroke for 10 yards Front and back crawl 25 yards (entire length of pool) Breast stroke and sidestroke kick with kick board AUTISM Level II: Primary Skill (Shallow Water) Swim continuously 100 yards using any stroke Backstroke flip turn Enter independently, using either the ladder, steps or side, travel at least 5 yards, submerge to mouth and blow bubbles for at least 3 seconds, then safely exit the water. ADULTS Adult Swimming Lessons ( All levels) See Description of classes Water Aerobics Wednesdays Autistic Swim & Safety These programs, sponsored in conjunction with Nassan’s Place, offers sensory-friendly swimming lessons to children and families of affected by Autism. * Must be able to STAND independently in 4 feet of water **Please Note** Everyone must have a valid swim badge. Swim caps are required. Swimming students must demonstrate ALL skills before moving on to the next level. Water assessments and class placement takes place at the pool site only. Adhere to posted safety rules.
