world. Elix offers redundant carriers: you can prioritize PSTN, GSM, or
Internet Protocol, thus - providing you with a reliable product.
Input and outputs
Elix is equipped with two relay outputs that can
send signals to the controller cabinet in order to
switch equipments on/off. The unit is equipped with
output for emergency light, input for battery alarm
and a general input that can be used for alarm from
the elevator control - offering you alarm events.
The firmware can be remotely updated for future
requirements, and this means that you won’t have
to replace the main unit; you just add to it.
Built in intercom
No extra intercom system is required: the main
unit has a built-in intercom with a microphone and
speaker that can be connected to the speech unit
in the elevator car, or in the pit, allowing the service
crew to communicate. As a safety feature, you can
add speaker units to the top/bottom of the
car and in the pit, allowing the crew to
easily contact an alarm center.

How does MIIPS Elix work?
Only two parts require installation - Elix and a car speech unit making the process easy and quick.
Preferably, Elix is mounted in the controller cabinet. Alternatively,
it may be mounted on top of the car or in the elevator shaft. It is
powered with 24 VDC by the controller and has a 12 VDC battery as
an option if you don’t have access to a secondary power source.
The battery is constantly monitored by Elix and will automatically
provide an alert if the power level falls below one hour of service.

Alarm button
The speech unit is placed inside the car, or on its roof, and has
various mounting choices depending on your needs. It can be
mounted on or behind the car operating panel, with or without a
frame and with or without an alarm button. Because it runs on Elix’s
power, the speech unit requires no power supply of its own*.
Elix is ideally siuted to be paired with Fältcom’s APP’S FOR ELEVATORS,
which include a vast overview and control over your elevators.
