DGA Dangerous Awareness Training This course is designed to provide participants to have understanding dangerous goods including how to identify the hidden hazard, handling skills of dangerous goods in loading and storage and the emergency response procedures in accident /incident relates to dangerous goods. Objective This course is designed to provide participants to have understanding dangerous goods including how to identify the hidden hazard, handling skills of dangerous goods in loading and storage and the emergency response procedures in accident /incident relates to dangerous goods. The DG Awareness course meets the training requirements for personnel listed in categories 4 & 5 as per Table 1.5.A of the IATA DGR. Benefits: Acquire the basic knowledge to identify the shipments with hidden hazards in both documentation and physical handing Acquire the awareness of the legal requirements, operational restrictions and governing entities Case sharing on Hidden Dangerous Goods in daily operations Learn the essential workplace safety measures Designed for: Frontline staff, including, the salesman, customer service, operation, warehouseman, truckers of freight forwarders Manager or Director of freight forwarders who in charge of operation monitoring and decision making Course Contents: Problem based learning on strengthen the awareness on Hidden Dangerous Goods Case sharing on common weakness on the documentation and operational procedures Introduction on the Identification, classification, packaging, marking, labeling and documentation requirements (Air Waybill and Shipper's Declaration) for safe transport of DG by air Emergency procedures Introduction of segregation, and storage of DG Operators' and shippers' responsibilities Language: Cantonese Assessment and Recognition: To be eligible for the award of the certificate, participants must PASS the test with 40 marks or above (total: 50 mark). A student obtaining a score of less than 80% is failed. If a student obtains a score with 45 marks or above, a wording “Pass with Distinction” will be marked on the certificate Only person who passed the Dangerous goods Awareness training course CANNOT sign the "Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods".
