OUTGOING RENTALS PREP:
-Have Jose clean trailers inside and out, check all cabinets for trash
-Charge main battery
-Check tires for tread wear and pressure, should be between 3540psi (Bring to Pep Boys on San Fernando if tires need changed.
We have an account with them)
-Fill water tanks
-Hook up trailer to check safety lights
-Check interior trailer fan, and push lights ( replace with AAA
batteries if needed)
-Make sure there’s at least one chock, and 2 stabilizers
DURING TRAILER PICKUP :
-Check to see if the client has the the right ball size (All trailers use
a 1 7/8” ball, except the Space Oddessy (2”), at a height of 15-16”
off the ground, and they have a flat, 4-pin connector for the trailer
safety light. If not, they may have to go to uHaul to get the right
sized ball or adapter for the connector, if we don’t have one to sell
or loan. If we loan them a hitch, get their hitch for deposit
-Walk around trailer to show where the water/electric hookups
are, and where to fill up the onboard water tank
-Show them the interior and show how to set up the double bunk,
and table if needed.
-Show them how the fan operates (must open fan cover to work)
-Both Trilliums has an inverter switch, let them know there’s a
“Battery”, “AC” and “OFF” position.
-Show them how to mount the trailer onto the hitch (Chains,
padlock, 4-pin connector)
-MUST CHECK THAT THE HITCH IS SET DEEPLY ONTO THE BALL,
AND CHECK BLINKERS/BRAKES/RUNNING LIGHTS AGAIN
-Be sure to give them the right trailer keys, and check the keys to
padlock/door lock
-Show them how to secure the stabilzers, or just tell them if they’re
not so clueless
-Give them a checklist from my desk
-Make sure they have your cell #, tell them to call or text an hour
before the return, and meet them
TRAILER RETURNS:
-Check for trailer damages inside and out, and check for personal
items left in cabinets or drawers
-If there’s damage, make notes, take pics and contact me or Derek
-If we loaned them a hitch or connector adaptor, get them back
-MUST GET TRAILER KEYS BACK!
-Have Jose clean the inside of returned trailer asap for more
detailed inspection for damages
-If they had a great time, ask them to post a review on Yelp
