Teacher Effectiveness Measure (TEM)
TEM consists of two components to determine a teacher’s
effectiveness:
1. Teacher Assessment on Performance
Standards (TAPS) Admin Evaluations 50%
2. Student Growth (SLOs/SGPs) Testing-CRCT/GMAP
50%
The ratings are the following:
Exemplary
Proficient
Needs Development
Ineffective
How to Calculate your TEM
Take your overall rating on each evaluation
standard and assign yourself points according to
the scale below. REMEMBER: – There are ten
standards and you will not get your overall
rating until your final summative evaluation.
(But, you should be able to “guesstimate” now.)

• CMS 2014 Mean GP for 2014 – Released on
December 9, 2014
• These scores will never be used on your
evaluation.
• The 2014-2015 tests are the first tests to
count for Teacher Effectiveness Measure.
• The 2014-2015 Milestones Test this year will
count for the 2015-2016 Teacher Effectiveness
Rating. (This is called Lagging Data)
Score Summary: This is by department and
grade not by teacher – Next year it will be by
department, grade and teacher. This year the
individual teacher information is not available.

SLO performance will
be used for all non
state tested courses .
