6. CHARITY EVENTS
It is the policy of the Education Department that
children who take school meals or a packed
lunch, remain in school during lunch break.
In June, our Pr. 7 children took part in the Go
Yellow Walk in Bellahouston Park, to raise
funds for the Prince & Princess of Wales
Hospice. They collected the sum of £430.00.
Well done to last session’s Pr. 7 children.
Only children who are going home for lunch will
be allowed out of school at lunchtime.
Please be aware that the cost of lunch has
increased from £1.15 to £1.40 and that this is
Menu Week One.
3. TUCK
Water is available to all our
children every day. Parents may wish to give
their children a small snack to eat during the
morning interval. As Hillington Primary is a
health promoting school, we would encourage
the children to have healthy snacks, not sugary
ones. Thank you for your co-operation in this.
Also Pr. 4 took part in Jump Rope For Heart as
part of their enterprise education. They raised
£431.00 of which £344.80 was donated to the
British Heart Foundation and £86.20 was
donated to the school fund. Thank you and well
done to Pr. 4 who are now Pr. 5.
