HOW TO PARTICIPATE – Just three easy steps! Step 1 – Get your Map Go to www.shoplocaldfw.com to check out our list of participating stores. Download and print a map, or pick one up from a store. Step 2 – Hit the Road and be Eligible for a Weekly Prize Pack up your map and hit the road between Small Business Saturday (Nov. 30, 2013) and Christmas Eve (Dec. 24, 2013). Each time you spend money you’ll get a raffle ticket to be entered to win a weekly prize! You’ll also get a stamp on your map for each store you shop. Step 3 – Get Entered to Win the Grand prize! Once you have five stamps from five different businesses, turn in your map to the fifth business you shopped. They’ll enter your name to win the grand prize which is a prize from each participating retailer! The more businesses you shop the greater your chances are of winning! Starting on Small Business Saturday and concluding on Christmas Eve, Spend and Win with Local Shops gives North Texans a chance this holiday season to discover the quality and variety of local independent retailers right here in the Metroplex. Shopping in Dallas / Fort Worth’s small businesses throughout the holiday season is a great way to find unique gifts for everyone on your list, enjoy the hospitality and warmth of North Texas’ independently owned neighborhood shops, have fun with your family and friends, and–just maybe–win some pretty incredible prizes. Just by taking a stroll in your neighborhood or venturing to a new one, you can avoid the holiday madness of the big box retail stores. SHOPPER Q & A Does it matter how much money I spend at each store? Nope, all you have to do is visit for your chance to win. How large will the discounts be? Discounts vary. Check with the local retailer to find out how much you can save. Can I turn in more than one map? Yes! Fill up as many as you like! How will winners be notified? You’ll provide us your contact information each time you fill out a raffle ticket or turn in a map. Winners will be notified via email and will be announced on our Facebook page and weekly emails. Please make sure your email address is legible so you don’t miss out on your prize. Winners have 96 hours from being notified to respond or their prizes could be forfeited. Shopping is not my past time. Why should I participate? For us, Spend and Win is not all about shopping. It’s about exploring the metroplex and finding some new favorite stores. It’s about our community, your neighborhood, and our local economy. Of course, we hope you decide to shop with our local stores this holiday season, but you don’t have to buy anything to participate. Just come into any participating Spend and Win business during the event, take a look around, and fill out an entry ticket for your chance to win. There’s no way I could actually win a prize, right? There are TONS of prizes. Every Saturday we will be drawing entry tickets for your chance to win prizes from great stores all across North Texas. On Christmas Eve, one person will win the Grand Prize – a prize from EVERY participating Spend and Win business. How can I play and be a winner? There are three ways Spend and Win works:  ENTER THE WEEKLY DRAWING: Visit any participating Spend and Win store from 11/30 to 12/23 and fill out an entry ticket. There’s no purchase necessary to enter the contest. One entry per person per day at each store they visit.  RECEIVE A DISCOUNT: If you make a purchase at one participating Spend and Win store, they will give you a stamp for your map. Show your map at the next participating store to receive an extra discount.  ENTER THE GRAND PRIZE CONTEST: Collect 5 stamps from 5 different stores and you will have a chance to win the grand prize. Any unclaimed prizes will be given away on our page at random times during the promotion How do you know how many stamps I got? A: When you receive your 5 stamps, fill out your map and leave it at any participating retailer no later than 1:00 PM on Monday, December 23rd. Our participating merchants will submit all the names Monday evening for the grand prize drawing on Tuesday, December 24th. I work at/own one of the participating Spend and Win stores. Can I win? ShopLocalDFW.com business owners and employees cannot win prizes, but you are more than welcome to explore and shop! Do you share or sell the personal contact information I write on the entry tickets? Will you spam me? We will never share, sell, or otherwise transfer your personal information to a third party. During the SPEND AND WIN WITH LOCAL SHOPS promotion, we will email you each Saturday with a list of winners as well as an announcement of the grand prize winner on Tuesday, December 24th. After that, we will only email you once or twice a month with info on all of your favorite local stores (you are free to opt out at any time) . How do I claim my prize? For weekly prizes, we will put you in contact with the participating store who will make arrangements on how you can claim and pick up your prize.
