DEBORAH GAME – DOUBLE ENTRY BOOKKEEPING OR ACCOUNTING HISTORY GAME Description Deborah is a serious game to teach Accounting History. Since most of Accounting students are digital natives, we decided to use a game as a tool to engage them in the learning process. Deborah is a casual game composed by several minigames (“party game genre”), each one with a different minimechanic (drag and drop, exploration, tycoon). Action takes place in different periods of time and places (3000 b.C. in Mesopotamia, Renaissance in Florence, XVIII Students of the USP Different Majors [email protected] century in Portugal). The player will get to know more about Accounting History, so that s/he can realize the relevance and social impact of this profession.
