How does a student earn the
IB Diploma?
Complete Extended Essay, TOK, and CAS
Complete all internally assessed work required by
IB
Take all six IB courses and all six exams
Achieve a cumulative score of 24 (IB exams are
scored on a scale of 1 to 7). Minimum score is 24;
maximum score is 45
Registration for
May 2014 Exams
October…
Finalize list of students and level of class with
teachers
Discuss with students which class for which to
test at HL
Send form home for approval and signature by
November 1
Return the form IMMEDIATELY… payment NOT
required at this time
Registering for
May 2014 Exams
November…
Using the returned form, enter student choices
into IBO website before November 15.
At this time students are formally registered for
their exams.
Registration for
May 2014 Exams
Payment is due by Tuesday, December 17
If installment payments are needed, please let
the IB Coordinator know
Checks are made out to SBISD (NOT to WAIS)
If a student registers for an exam, but fails to
take the exam, the rest of the exam cost will
need to be paid in the spring
