Have a say in Rotorua`s sustainable future

Have a say in Rotorua’s
sustainable future
Rotorua Lakes Council is leading the development of a sustainable living strategy for
the district and we would value your involvement and input.
The strategy will contribute to the district’s shared 2030 vision. It will be developed with the steering group of
council’s Sustainable Living Portfolio, which is led by Councillor Janet Wepa.
Sustainability is defined as “meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future
generations to meet their own needs”.
We are establishing focus groups to consider and discuss in detail key topics relating to sustainable living to assist in
the development of the strategy and you are invited to join in this process. We believe you would have a valuable
contribution to make.
Council and the portfolio steering group want to know what you think. He aha ō whakaaro?
The focus groups will be broken into specific topics and you are welcome to join one or more, depending on your
interests and areas of expertise.
